JP Montalvo joins Board of Directors for the Alliance for Community Media West Region.

A big congratulations to JP Montalvo, a long-time producer/ Instructor at TV Santa Barbara, for being nominated and selected to the Board of Directors for ACM West. The ACM West Board is one of several ACM regions across the country working to keep media accessible to the people.

“After our regional conference in Santa Barbara this spring, I knew JP would be a perfect fit for the ACM West Board of Directors” said Chris Miller, Board Chair of ACM West. “JP’s efforts on the planning committee and at all of our main stage events were integral to making the conference a success,” added Miller, Chief Operating Officer, Pasadena Media. “The board is very pleased to add JP’s experience and talents to the team.”

The ACM West represents the regional ACM members for the six western states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Nevada. In addition to the annual conference and Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards, the board’s efforts are currently focused on public policy and networking. We are working with state agencies and legislators throughout the region promoting inclusion, media literacy, and keeping media accessible to the people. We also hold regular meet-ups and support ACM national efforts to build and maintain a supportive network of colleagues in the region that work together to push our industry forward.

Thank you JP for your years of service and for your commitment to community access media!
